Zenner’s Always On Solid State Register Technology

The Zenner Electronic Register harvests power from the rotation of the meter body through the self-powered

AlwaysOnTM sensor to ensure every revolution of the Positive Displacement meter is counted regardless of the state of internal or external power.

  • Power is harvested by converting rotation of the meter body magnet into electricity

  • Low power processor operates using micro-joules of power to wake, increment stored value, save result in non-volatile memory, and sleep with each rotation

  • Register will sense and store usage indefinitely even if the battery of the display or communications module fails or is fully discharged

  •  Power harvested is independent of speed or volume of water flow so every rotation is counted

  • Value decrements during backward flow with a direction of flow indicator visible on display

  • Consistent accuracy throughout the full rotation of the meter body, individual accuracy data points consistent with the average data points.

Register value is Always available

  • Designed for use with communicating Meter Interface Unit so that a Handheld or a Fixed Network can always access the current register value

  • Solid-state, very low power microprocessor with non-volatile memory

  • Battery-powered LCD display with 20 year life with visible battery life alarm on display

  • Last time read always possible

Resistant to interference

  • Magnetically shielded to protect from environmental or intentional magnetic interference

  • Tamper alarm via sensor on Printed Circuit Board activates visible icon on display

  • Electro-static discharge immunity of 8kV contact and 15kV air

Versatile

  • Non-Wiegand patented solution with commonly available materials

  • Gearless design
